Attendance and Leave
- Each working day is divided into two sessions, the morning and afternoon session consisting of three and two periods respectively.
- Attendance will be marked at the beginning of each period.
- All working days, irrespective of number of period will be considered as full working days.
- Late comers should neither enter the class nor should leave the class without the permission of the teacher concerned / HOD / Vice Principal/ Fr. Principal.
- Students are not permitted to absent themselves without leave letter for the whole or part of a day.
- Absence without leave letter for one period or session will be considered as half day absence from the class.
- A student who absents himself/herself for a day or more may be granted leave on submission of application for leave to the Principal with recommendation of the class teacher and HOD concerned. Leave application should be written by the parent or guardian of the Student. Leave will be sanctioned on genuine grounds. (Refer the leave letter format)
- Absence without leave letter from any class test, composition or practical work shall be taken seriously and shall be reported to the Principal by the class teachers.
- Annual certificate of attendance and progress required for admission to university examination as well as promotion shall not be given unless the applicant has attended at least 85 percent per subject, of the working days of the academic year and the Principal is satisfied with the students progress and conduct
- Applicant for sick leave for more than five days should be supported by a reliable medical certificate.
- Early departure from the campus on any ground will be informed to the parents .
- Late arrival,early departure and leaves have to be properly recorded and signed in the respective page of the handbook.
- Late coming and irregular attendance should be avoided. Leave letter must be submitted to the head of the department concerned with the signature of Class Teacher and Parent / Guardian / Hostel Warden. If a student is absent for three consecutive working days without leave, his name will be removed from the rolls, unless the Principal is satisfied that the failure to obtain leave was unavoidable.
- The application for leave to participate in Co-curricular activities (Prior permission has to be obtained) must carry the signature of the respective HOD.
